Terms Fetcher Plugin

Last updated: September 12, 2025

By using the Job Fetcher plugin (“Plugin”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). The Plugin is developed by Mimus Jobs (mimusjobs.com) and provided under the GNU General Public License version 2 or later (GPLv2+). Please read these Terms carefully.

1. License

The Plugin is licensed under the GPLv2 or later. You are free to use, modify, and distribute the Plugin in accordance with the license terms. The full license text is included in the Plugin’s LICENSE file and available at https://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-2.0.html.

2. Plugin Functionality

The Plugin enables you to:

  • Fetch job and company data from the Job Fetcher Service.
  • Store data in JSON files (jobs.json and companies.json) in your WordPress uploads directory or as custom post types in your WordPress database.
  • Manage job and company data via the WordPress admin interface.
  • Configure search parameters (e.g., country, keyword) and WordPress REST API credentials.

Free vs. Paid Features

  • Free Version: Limited to basic job data (ID, title, company name, location, type) stored in JSON files.
  • Paid Version: Requires a license key from https://mimusjobs.com/jobfetcher to unlock full job and company data and custom post type storage.

3. Use of External Services

The Plugin integrates with the following external services, and you agree to comply with their terms:

3.1 GitHub API

3.2 Mimus Jobs License Validation API

4. Your Responsibilities

  • WordPress Credentials: You must provide a valid WordPress username and application password for REST API authentication. You are responsible for keeping these credentials secure.
  • Server Requirements: Ensure your WordPress uploads directory (wp-content/uploads/) is writable for JSON file storage. For custom post types, ensure your database supports the required meta keys (_job_id_company_id).
  • Compliance: Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) when handling job and company data.
  • Backups: Regularly back up your WordPress site, as the Plugin modifies files and database entries.

5. Limitations

  • No Warranty: The Plugin is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Mimus Jobs is not responsible for data loss, server issues, or interruptions caused by the Plugin.
  • External Service Dependency: The Plugin relies on the GitHub API and Mimus Jobs API. Service outages or changes to their APIs may affect functionality.
  • License Key: Premium features require a valid license key. An invalid or expired key may limit functionality to the free version.

6. Termination

You may stop using the Plugin at any time by deactivating and deleting it from your WordPress site. Mimus Jobs may suspend access to premium features if:

  • Your license key is invalid or expires.
  • You violate these Terms or the terms of external services (GitHub, Mimus Jobs).

7. Liability

Mimus Jobs is not liable for any damages, including but not limited to data loss, financial loss, or service interruptions, arising from the use of the Plugin or external services.
